Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is a virtuoso of the Mohan Veena, an instrument that he designed (a modified and Easternized slide guitar). Matt Malley, a songwriter who co-founded the multi-platinum rock group, Counting Crows, is also a big fan of North Indian classical music. He took music lessons at Bhatt's home in Jaipur, India, and they later recorded together in Malley's home studio in Thousand Oaks, California.
