A fine example of 1970s spiritual roots, The Congos are a reggae vocal trio from Jamaica. Originally formed by Cedric Myton and Roy Johnson, the group was completed with the acquisition of Watty Burnett. Their most celebrated album is "Heart of the Congos", recorded in 1977 at Lee "Scratch" Perry's Black Ark studio. The album featured some reggae stars of the time including Gregory Isaacs, The Meditations, and Earl Morgan of The Heptones. In 2008, the band appeared in the feature film, "Wah Do Dem".
