Spok Frevo Orquestra

The rhythm most frequently associated to the state of Pernambuco, in the Northeast of Brazil, is probably Frevo, which has completed its 100th anniversary of existence — and resistance — in 2007. Composed of 18 musicians, the Spok Frevo Orquestra was set up in 1996 with the intention of widening the possibilities of this lively and joyful type of music by allowing solos by instrumentalists.
