Shukar Collective

Shukar Collective is a Romanian group (Shukar meaning "fine") that uses traditional Romanian music, electronic music, drum 'n' bass and dub to create something entirely their own. Their sounds range from that of tapping spoons or other non traditional objects to those created by an analog synthesizer. Shukar Collective was formed after two Romanian DJs by the name of DJ Vasile and Dreamdoktor listened to Shukar founders : Tamango, Clasic, and Napoleon, three musicians who play ursari music ("ursar" means "bear handler") using spoons, wooden barrels and darbouka.
