This time the collaboration lasted eight years, until the death of Ibra Kasse in 1992. Pape Fall continued to tour with the band, now renamed the Kasse Band, until he created his own group, African Salsa in 1995. He released the higly acclaimed cassette ”Ke Jaraxam”. African Salsa celebrated the group’s anniversery with a massive public response at the temple of arts in Dakar. Two years later African Salsa released their second cassette ”Domou Nedeye”. African Salsa has since then had a remarkable success, and in 1998 the band made its first appearance in London., at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and also at the African Centre at Covent Garden.
