Mohsen Namjoo is an academically trained musician - born in a small town in northeastern Iran in 1976 - who left his studies unfinished due to the difficulties he had with the conservatism reigning the academy. He plays a range of both Iranian and Western instruments, and in his works, he creates a fusion between various styles from traditional Iranian to blues and rock.
