Lura
Growing up in the Creole quarter of Lisbon, Lura remained strongly attached to her family’s native land and the culture of Cape Verde. A well-received duet with Angolan singer Bonga caught the ear of Cesaria Evora’s producer, and he signed her to his label. She is now a prominent voice of the new Cape Verdean generation.
