June Tabor
June Tabor is a folk singer who started singing at the Heart of England Folk Club, in the Fox and Vivian pub in Leamington Spa, in the mid 1960s. In 1976, she recorded her solo debut, "Airs and Graces". Over the years she has worked in various genres including jazz and art song, but generally with a sparse and sombre tone to it.

With her first album released in 1976, you might think that June Tabor is beginning to run out of steam, but this is not at all the case. This concept album – in which all the songs are linked with the sea – is one of her most beautiful, notably thanks to Huw Warren (piano), Mark Emerson (violin), Tim Harries (contrabass) and Andy Cutting (diatonic accordion).
