Born Serge Elbaz, Cheb I Sabbah has been a world music DJ since the 80s. He produced many albums inspired by the Indian rhythms and, lately, by Moroccan culture.

Devotion was produced in the past year or so but has been in the making for at least nine years since Sabbah started visiting India to record his first release, the groundbreaking classic Shri Durga. Adding to Devotion’s sonic beauty are some of the most popular vocalists from South Asia including Riffat Sultana (daughter of the late, great Pakistani classical singer Ustad Salamat Ali Khan), Shubha Mudgal, Anup Jalota and Master Saleem.
