Born in Yaounde, Cameroon in 1974, Blick Bassy's music is influenced by both by his upbringing by his grandparents in rural Cameroon and by his love for soul and jazz. Sung in French, Bassa and English, Bassy's work reflects the enduring beauty of Africa and its musical traditions.
