Arnaldo Antunes
The voice of Arnaldo Antunes is recognizable for its deep and almost childish tones. Throughout his texts and compositions, he has created a very personal poetic universe. Former lead singer of the '80s band Titãs ('The Titans'), he also participated in the project Tribalistas with Carlinhos Brown and Marisa Monte in 2002. He has even collaborated with symphonic orchestras. His style is often placed in the category of MPB, since he mixes so intelligently the sounds of jazz and rock.

Arnaldo Antunes's new "Ao Vivo no Estúdio," is his first live album, the one so many have been waiting for. Thanks to Mosh, who opened up the doors of his recording studio, these songs were able to see daylight. With an audience of fifty people sitting on the ground, the recording commenced. For the special occasion, Arnaldo invited other artists such as Nando Reis, Edgar Scandurra, Branco Mello, and many others.

Many artists lent their hand at writing the lyrics to this album - Adriana Calcanhotto, Carlinho Brown, and Marisa Monte. Several of the songs had already been recorded. The originality of this album comes from the fact that it was recorded in only three days by the same musicians. Contrary to Arnaldo Antunes' previous albums, on which the musicians were recorded separately, we feel a better cohesion in "Qualquer." His voice is calm, steady, and the melodies are light and deep at the same time. Quite a success!
