Adib Dayikh was born in Aleppo in 1938. He is the son of a great master narratives of the Koran, which formed him in the purest tradition of Koran and Arabic poetry. Adib Dayikh' s singing refers to the mystical ecstasy, steeped in Sufism, and to the art of Ghazal (love poems). It is in Bimaristan (old hospital) of Aleppo that he recorded, with Julien Jalaladdine Weiss, the French virtuoso of the Arabic zither (qànûn) and director of the famous classical music ensemble Arab "Al Kindi", the sublime art of Ghazal.
